I bought this pair as another work related shoe however on my recent vacation I used these nonstop for five days walking around constantly over all kinds of terrain. They were so comfortable that my feet were never an issue for the amount of walking I did. My size usually for Merrell is 8, these did ran a little tighter than expected at the front for me which was new. Will always recommend buying a Merrell, a very good brand. This is my 7th.

Merrells are my go to brand of sandals and walking shoes. I have probably twenty pairs of Merrell shoes and I have not been disappointed in them. I need a supportive sandal because of weak knees due to prior knee surgery. So I love that these sandals are very comfortable. The back straps adjust with velcro for a perfect fit. The front straps do not adjust but I find that they lay comfortably on my foot. I live in Manhattan and walk miles everyday. Other sandals often rub when my foot begins to sweat in hot summer weather, causing me blisters. However, these sandals are comfortable for hours of walking in hot weather and do not result in uncomfortable blisters or chafing. It is nice to wear sandals without covering my feet in bandaids from blistering!

The sole of these sandals is molded to provide nice arch support and my foot fits snugly to the sole. I would go as far as saying that the sole hugs my foot. In addition, I find the design to be sporty enough to wear with workout clothes but also nice for your average casual summertime outfit. With most shoes I usually have one minor complaint about them but I really don't have anything negative to say about the Merrell Jacardia sandals. They hold up well even after being exposed to water, sweat, dirt etc and they are so comfortable to wear for hours of walking. I recommend them highly!

When Merrell discontinued my favorite "Palmetto" sandal (I had about 10 different-colored pairs and still have 4 pairs I will never part with), I was bereft and my feet were forced to live with all sorts of silly humps and bumps with the other models. On a whim, I tried the new Lilyfern, and ahhhhh ... I see another 6 pairs in my near future. (And consequently more than a few Tomato Soup nights.)

The Lilyfern footbed is a bit flatter than most Merrell sandals, without a lot of "orthowaves", and this works well for my feet. The upper does come up a bit higher than I would like, but I can get used to this. There is a bit of a rise in the footbed just in front of the center of my instep, but it is not so high that I feel my heel is lower than my toes.

Five years ago I bought my first pair of Merrell sandals while on vacation. I cringed at the price, but fell in love with the comfort and style, and bought them as a vacation treat for myself. They turned out to be the most amazing, supportive, comfortable pair of sandals I ever owned, and despite wearing them nearly year-round for just about every outdoor activity you can think of (hiking, walking on the beach, concerts, casual parties, etc.,) they lasted very well. I finally had to replace them not because they wore out, but because they were dirty beyond cleaning. The Hollyleaf style was the closest to my old pair that I could find with the thick band across the top of the foot, which I loved because they were so supportive and relatively quiet for a pair of flip-flops. Turns out these are as comfortable and even more stylish than my old pair, and just as quiet. The footbed is very supportive for my high arches, the cushioning protects on many different surfaces including rocks, asphalt, concrete, and just about anything in between, and there is no rubbing, pinching or discomfort from the soft and supportive uppers. These are perfect not just for outdoor activities, but also for casual events, and of course just about anywhere on Hawaii. If you are looking for more support and style than the standard rubber flips and want something that will last for years, these are the sandals for you.
